DAVID BANNER & 9TH Wonder

Who is taking a strong stand on standards none other then David Banner and his good longtime friend 9TH Wonder? "Death Of A Popstar" is the album of the decade and from the snippets that fans have heard we are not ready but so appreciative of the movement! David Banner has joined forces for the first time with 9TH Wonder to bring out the music the game has long for without the "Political stress" of the machine! We recently saw the direction this album was taking with the release of "Slow Down" which featured Core Models own Marquita "Ms. Hollywood" Childress herself. The video is a deeper look into what we can expect, however it's the lyrics that draw you in making you pay attention! David Banner made some very thought provoking statements in his above discussion of "Death Of A Popstar" I hope your listening! This is a movement that needs to be stood by, many of us have lost focus and even have lost our appreciation for the music we are rooted in deeply! However it's not just a movement it's a mind opening chance to change the way we listen, react, and live! So this is just a taste of what's to come, and the artist have already started to follow suite and support the amazing efforts of these two well accomplished men! This discussion was held at 92Y TriBeca also please be advised of the language! However you can't help but feel the passion behind this movement, and applaud however it's not just about supporting vocally but physically with the actions to promote change! Many of us have can  help but don't and now is the time to do what we can with what we have! So go out and support "Death Of A Popstar" and do something positive in your community no more complaining if your not willing to WORK!

TRIBUTE TO A LEGEND :CHRIS BROWN @ BET AWARDS 2010

“The greatest education in the world is watching the masters at work.”
Michael Jackson

There was not a dry eye during Chris Brown’s performance  tribute to the late great Michael Jackson! Ever since Chris brown was a young boy he looked up to Michael Jackson as his idol and musical mentor, and the idea of Michael and him teaming up would have been legendary in it’s own rights! However I know that Michael Jackson is proud of Chris Brown, tonight we didn’t just see Chris Brown honor his musical icon, but a young man that has grown up before our eye’s to salute legend! I was in tears when he stated to sing “Man in The Mirror” him being choked up only added to the expression in his heart! Chris Brown shouldn’t be second guessed anymore on his talents, heart, or his ability to reach the masses! Michael Jackson once said “I’m never pleased with anything, I’m a perfectionist, it’s part of who I am.” However tonight mister Chris Brown that is wrong Michael wouldn’t correct a thing, you did amazing tonight! “IT’S JUST A MIXTAPE”- http://www.limelinx.com/files/51cf1accbadb85e17f032af734decba7
or http://www.zshare.net/download/77490072b5b35e17/
14 – tracks including intro and outro
(Just a few broken down)
Naughty Girl ft. Diamond- This track says it all ladies, and DIAMOND represents for us! Sammie picked a beat that really draws you into the track! This can easy be that dance track you put on when you just want to strut around, however keep in mind the suggestive lyrics for the “GROWN & SEXY” please be advised! My absolute favorite verse would have to be “Away with that good girl shit you can have that” Sammie is all grown up now! “I’m sweeter then Reese Pieces “- courtesy of Diamond!
Make Pretend- Wow speechless about this one, however it’s a track that really tells you the deal! When the anticipation builds from being away for so long! However until he get’s back just “Pretend” he’s there however don’t replace him just imagine he’s there until he can really get there! “GRAB YOUR PILLOW AND PRETEND IT’S ME, AND HOLD ME TIGHT”
Phone Call- Being dumped by phone and voicemail at that! However the track it’s really a reality when they just leave and you don’t know why! Your trying to understand what happen yet no one is on the other end to answer you.  The biggest question “I DON’T EVEN KNOW WHY YOU LEFT ME IN THE FIRST PLACE” a question many have asked themselves before! “RING RING I KNOW YOU SEE ME CALLING” and “TIRED OF YOUR VOICEMAIL” this song is sad but in relationships sometimes your left without answers!
B Word- The beat is so classic the guitar is beautiful in the opening. How being in the lime-lights is hard when the one your with doesn’t understand that it’s apart of the job. No he’s not calling her a “BITCH” he’s calling her “BEAUTIFUL” actually you just have to listen to the track! He’s telling her the way things use to be and he wants he girl back and his buddy back! When you stop being who you used to be, and now fight about all the things that didn’t use to bother you.  “BABY YOUR BEAUTIFUL”
Pretty Girl Anthem- The song that salutes to all the PRETTY ladies of the world, and all ladies should be standing up because, all ladies are beautiful in their own special way!  “SEXY AND YOU KNOW IT PUT YOUR HANDS UP” “ROLL CALL SEXY LADIES STAND UP” so ladies stand up and put your hands up, it’s a fun track and the beat is playful. However it’s just hard to imagine little Sammie however he’s all grown up!
