E! NEWS EXCLUSIVE: Everything We Know

  • E! NEWS EXCLUSIVE: Everything We Know About Audrina Patridge and Ryan Cabrera's Rekindled Romance

Audrina Patridge and Ryan Cabrera certainly got the hills alive and talking this weekend about a rumored romantic rekindling...
Last week, a report stated that the former Hills stars had reignited their past romance and then over the weekend the pair partied down together at the Stagecoach Music Festival, which, of course, is keeping the dating speculation going.
While Patridge, who is currently going through a messy divorce, and Cabrera have not commented, the pair seem to be getting quite cozy once again.
Fans may remember that Ryan and Audrina were first linked in January of 2010 and had part of their romance documented on the final season of The Hills before calling it quits five months later.
As MTV viewers may also recall, Audrina was worried that they rushed into things too quickly. It also didn't help that the rocker was about to hit the road to go on tour.
After going their separate ways, Ryan continued focusing on his music career. As for Audrina, she welcomed a daughter named Kirra Max, married (and is now divorcing) Corey Bohan, and became creative director for a bathing suit line called P R E Y S W I M.
But what about what the future holds for the stars?
Let's go through everything (well at least nine things!) we know about the duo so far:
1. It's On: "They're dating," a source shared with People last week. "They've been spending a lot of time together recently and are having a good time."
2. Drip Drops: According to fashion stylist Joey Tierney's Instagram Story, the pair spent last Thursday night getting IV drops in their arms.
3. Friday I'm in Love: Both Ryan and Audrina posted pictures near an Orange County beach on Friday evening leaving some fans thinking they were about to kick off the weekend together.
4. Jazz It Up: An eyewitness told E! News the two were at a W Hollywood jazz night event earlier this month.
"She sat with him and they were very close and had their arms around each other," the source said. "They were holding hands at one point too."
5. 'Coach Cuties: Cabrera posted on his Instagram Stories feed on Saturday videos of the two sitting close together on lawn chairs and hanging out with a couple at the event, which was held this weekend in Indio, California.
6. Shindig Time: E! News reported that a source said that Cabrera and Patridge attended Boots on Stage's Chevrolet's Shindig, In the Desert for a couple hours and left together. "They looked like a couple and really happy. Nobody was bothering them and they seemed like any other couple just enjoying the festivities."
Another insider tells E! News, "They are so together. At first they were acting super low-key, not really showing any PDA. But as the party went on they got comfortable and affectionate. He grabbed her butt a couple of times while they were walking."
7. Not Too Shy: Another source added E! News that at the Shindig, In the Desert the pair got more comfortable over time.
"At first they were shy. They were with a group of friends but then they got more comfortable," said the source at the bash. "They held hands and they snuck a quick kiss. They look like they are definitely dating and were very coupley. They arrived together and stayed for a while. They spent about two hours playing games and Audrina caught up with friends. They had a really good time."
8. Game On: Another insider says that they're all about finally making it public.
A source says, "They are very happy together and ready for the word to be out that they are a couple. They want to be out and about and enjoying each other."
9. Lucky in Love: The insider added, "Audrina feels very lucky to be dating Ryan again. He is extremely kind and supportive of everything she does. He treats her very well and it's a nice feeling for her. They have always been friends and know each other well. It was all very familiar and comfortable right from the beginning."

Poynter Brings CNN's Jake Tapper to St. Petersburg for a Community Conversation

Poynter's community conversation series works to strengthen public trust in the media and spotlights the relationship between journalism and democracy.
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.April 30, 2018/PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Poynter Institute, a global leader in journalism, will host award-winning journalist and author Jake Tapper for a community conversation called "Political Thrillers, Fact and Fiction." Tapper is currently the chief Washington correspondent for CNN, anchor of the CNN weekday television news show "The Lead with Jake Tapper," and host of the Sunday morning program, "State of the Union."
The event on June 14 will take place at the Duke Energy Center for the Arts at the Mahaffey Theater in St. Petersburg, Florida. Respected by people across the political spectrum, Tapper reports crisply and evenly out of an often chaotic Washington. Recently, he interviewed former FBI director James Comey in what was considered one of the most hard-hitting conversations during Comey's media tour. He led a highly-praised town hall on the gun-control debate with parents and survivors in Parkland. He moderated 2016 presidential primary debates and has covered multiple presidencies. On his shows, he consistently calls out falsehoods and does not accept "alternative facts." Tapper's reporting on the 2016 election has been recognized with a number of awards, including a 2017 Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in Television Political Journalism.
The conversation will be moderated by Indira Lakshmanan, the Newmark Chair for Journalism Ethics at Poynter. Lakshmanan, an accomplished journalist herself, has covered coups, campaigns and revolutions in 80 countries and the U.S. From Washington, she covered politics and foreign policy, traveling with Secretaries of State Hillary Clinton and John Kerry. At Poynter, Lakshmanan is spurring thought leadership on restoring trust in journalism across the political spectrum through transparency and accountability.
Proceeds from the evening will benefit The Poynter Institute and the Bill Edwards Foundation for the Arts.
"This event, part of a year-long speaker series, will give Tampa Bay residents the chance to meet journalists and hear them talk about the vital work they do for our democracy," said Wendy Wallace, the director of advancement at Poynter. "Elevating journalism and its role in healthy democracies is core to Poynter's mission."
The stop in St. Petersburg is part of Tapper's book tour promoting "The Hellfire Club," set in 1950s Washington. Poynter's Lakshmanan will talk with Tapper about ethics, trust in the media, and the comparisons we can make between his novel and now.
A limited number of VIP tickets are available and include heavy hors d'oeuvres, drinks, a copy of "The Hellfire Club," and a meet-and-greet opportunity with Tapper. General admission tickets for the conversation only are also available. Tickets are on sale now at TheMahaffey.com.

Stereotyping of Israelis and Italians

Stereotyping of Israelis and Italians

BLOOMFIELD, N.J., April 27, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The Italian American ONE VOICE Coalition ("ONE VOICE"), a nationwide coalition of anti-bias activists, is vehemently opposed to a casting call for perpetuating a negative stereotype of Israelis and Italians.  The casting call, posted on castingnetworks.com, states "Looking for Israelis and Italian Actors that are not ashamed to admit they can be an asshole to others."  The casting call lists the production as a "Documentary" with the title "Assholes: A Theory".
"Here we go again," stated Dr. Manny Alfano, Founder and President of ONE VOICE. "It is unbelievable that such a blatant and damaging stereotype specifically targets Israelis and Italians.  This is totally unacceptable."
The offending casting call was posted by Ken Lazar Casting Company of New York and Los Angeles on the Casting Networks website soliciting "Israelis and Italian Actors (Especially Males)" from "New Jersey, New York, Puerto Rico, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington DC, West Virginia" for a Principal role in "ASSHOLES: A THEORY/ Documentary."
"They seek Israeli and Italian actors and tell them to purposefully act as a-holes to get the part, and then incredibly purport this to be a documentary – that is doubly insulting," commented Andre' DiMino, Communications Director of ONE VOICE.  "The entertainment industry must end its constant perpetuation of negative and damaging stereotypes of all people, and especially in this case, Israelis and Italians."
ONE VOICE has contacted the Anti-Defamation League ("ADL") about the offensive casting call.  "Every person of Israeli and Italian heritage should be outraged over this casting call, and should be even more concerned if such a damaging, pseudo-documentary will be produced," concluded Dr. Alfano.
ONE VOICE is different from all other Italian American groups in that its sole focus and objective is to fight bias, stereotyping and discrimination against Italian Americans.  It is the only national Italian American organization with this mandate.  ONE VOICE's stated mission is to "…secure the rightful representation of Americans of Italian origin and of all peoples whose paths toward social equality have been impeded.  The powers of intellect, wisdom and due process of law will be brought to bear on all inequities."

Ziploc® Brand Honors Teachers as Super Heroes with #MoreThanATeacher

Initiative Includes $100,000 Donation to DonorsChoose.org and Custom Teacher Portraits.
RACINE, Wis.April 27, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Ziploc® brand is redefining what it means to be a super hero and honoring teachers around the country. In celebration of National Superhero Day April 28 and National Teacher Day May 8, Ziploc® brand is unmasking a new initiative, #MoreThanATeacher, which calls upon everyone to thank the real-life super heroes among us – teachers – by helping to provide resources to empower teachers and encourage students and the public to recognize the heroic impact they have on our lives.

To give teachers nationwide extra superpowers, Ziploc® brand is pledging $100,000 to DonorsChoose.org, which will provide 100 teachers across the country with funds for various classroom projects. Purchases of Ziploc® brand products, including its new line inspired by Marvel Studios' Avengers: Infinity War, will help support Ziploc® brand's donation. The brand will also drop off Ziploc® brand products featuring Marvel Studios' Avengers: Infinity War designs to each teacher's school.
"The impression teachers make on our world goes beyond anything fictional super heroes do in the movies or comic books – their positive influence sets the stage for generations to come and we're so excited to celebrate real super heroes," said Kelly M. Semrau, Senior Vice President – Global Corporate Affairs, Communication and Sustainability at SC Johnson. "We applaud the great work teachers do every day, and we're looking forward to seeing the recognition students, former students and parents give teachers through this effort."
"Students across America know their teachers are real-life super heroes. DonorsChoose.org is proud to partner with Ziploc to honor these teachers, by bringing their classroom dreams to life on National Superhero Day," said Katie Bisbee, Chief Marketing Officer of DonorsChoose.org.

Ziploc® brand is encouraging people to thank a teacher who changed their life using the hashtag #MoreThanATeacher on social media. To kick off the conversation, Ziploc® brand commissioned portraits to honor three teachers who represent super heroes to former students. The portraits were creatively constructed with Ziploc® brand bags and containers filled with mementos that represent the ways each teacher was a super hero. Ziploc® brand surprised the teachers with an unveiling ceremony alongside these former students, and the teachers will also be featured in a series of videos on Ziploc®brand's social media pages.
The specific teachers honored include:
  • Reginald WillsHistory teacher at Washington Latin Public Charter School in Silver Spring, Maryland
  • Kelli Morrill, Speech teacher at Blue Springs South High School in Pleasant Hill, Missouri
  • Paul PetersonTechnology teacher at Harpursville Middle/High School in Harpursville, New York
Wills is just one example of a super hero who has inspired and changed the lives of his students as a 25-year history teacher at Washington Latin Public Charter School in Silver Spring, Maryland. One of his students, Raval, became a writer after Wills gifted her a poetry book. Others found a new perspective on the Civil Rights movement after Wills took them on a field trip to mimic the iconic Freedom Rider experience. Morrill and Peterson's students have equally moving stories about the impact these real-life super heroes have had on their lives.
Ziploc® brand has a longstanding commitment to create innovative, high-quality products and support communities around the country. #MoreThanATeacher is another way the brand is connecting with these communities, specifically teachers, students and parents, to enrich their educational and classroom experiences.

Arborjet Launches "Saving America's Iconic Trees" Campaign

Company to donate treatment to trees across the country for insect and disease prevention and overall tree health; citizens and municipalities invited to nominate beloved trees.
WOBURN, Mass.April 23, 2018/PRNewswire/ -- Arborjet Inc., a revolutionary plant health care company, today announced the launch of "Saving America's Iconic Trees," the company's latest initiative to ensure the health and longevity of the country's trees. The campaign targets America's most beloved trees – from the most awe-inspiring in terms of size and age, to those that dazzle us with their beauty and provide shelter and comfort to a community – offering complimentary treatment to prevent insects, disease and poor health. Throughout 2018, Arborjet will donate high-profile treatments and host educational events across the country. The company invites private homeowners and state, city, town and municipal leaders to nominate iconic trees in their communities for potential recognition and treatment by visiting Arborjet.com/SavingAmericasIconicTrees.
Arborjet will donate environmentally responsible, fast-acting and long-lasting trunk injection treatments to these trees. These are the same treatments forward-thinking certified arborists and over 150 municipalities use to ensure the country's neighborhoods and urban forests remain beautiful for generations to come. Trunk injections are delivered directly into a tree's vascular system and sealed in the tree, limiting environmental exposure and allowing for responsible treatment on both public and private properties.
While trees may appear imposing and strong, even the most amazing are vulnerable to disease, drought and invasive and devastating pests like the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB). To date, EAB has been found in 31 states and the Canadian provinces of Ontario and Quebec, and is wreaking havoc on urban forests, already having destroyed hundreds of millions of ash trees. Arborjet is committed to expanding its efforts to save America's iconic trees, ash and beyond, including the following already under the company's care:
  • The 41 ash trees at the Grove of Remembrance, New Jersey's living memorial to victims of the September 11th attacks, overlooking the Statue of Liberty
  • The 20 stately ash trees at the New England Holocaust Memorial in Boston, Massachusetts
  • A nearly 300-year old sycamore tree in Buffalo, New York, the city's oldest tree
  • The oldest, largest ash tree in Illinois, which is at least 150 years old and stands over 91 feet high
  • The New Jersey white ash state champion tree, which at 21 feet and 3 inches in circumference, standing 115 feet high with a 111 foot crown, is the largest ash tree in the United States

  • The Hawaiian "Ohana" Banyan tree, planted nearly a century ago by the Hawaiian Ohana (family) representing their attachment to the Aina (land), with a diameter of 150 inches and a canopy spread of nearly 145 feet
  • The Descanso Gardens in La Cañada Flintridge, California
  • The Huntington Library, Art Collections and Botanical Gardensin San Marino, California
  • 115 trees at the Boy Scout Camp in the Bastrop State Forest in Central Texas

Central Bank of Egypt

Wecash Brasil awakens global attention and presents its best practices to the summit of the Central Bank of Egypt.

SAN FRANCISCO , April 26, 2018 / PRNewswire / - Wecash executives were invited to share their experiences with the business unit in Brazil with the Central Bank of Egypt on Tuesday, April 24 at the Silicon Valley Innovation Center (SVIC ).

The President of the Central Bank of Egypt participated in the conference, which was also attended by senior executives from Egypt's top banks. In order to stimulate the country's local financial market, the delegation went to Silicon Valley to study the most modern and innovative in the area of financial inclusion in emerging countries, as well as the success story that Wecash has been putting into practice in markets in which it operates, including Brazil.
Mário Isaac, was invited to present Wecash to the Central Bank of Egypt
Dr. Ninghua Wang , Chief Data Scientist and Mario Isaac, Head of Business Development, presented what was done by Wecash in Brazil. Over the past four years, Wecash has grown significantly in business, trading around RMB 30 billion in 2017. Today, with rich experiences and advanced technologies in credit assessment, customer acquisition and dedication to discovering customer needs, Wecash entered the global market and began to reap the first successes.
Ninghua and Mário Isaac also introduced the Wecash technologies and the location path in Brazil for other participants. Brazil is the first market in South America where Wecash has exported its technology and operation. In the past, 28 million people had their information seen in traditional credit institutions, occupying only about 15% of the Brazilian population. At the same time, the origin of the credit data is relatively scarce, among which the majority was obtained from the main credit bureaus. In addition, a growing part of the population has been adopting the smartphone as a source of access to financial services, and has not been well served to date. Compared to other credit markets such as Chinaand the United States, the Brazilian market still has a lot of room to develop. So far, Wecash has established partnerships with 7 institutions in Brazil, with an expectation of generating a portfolio of 50 million reais in 8 months.

Egypt has a major challenge, considering that around 86% of adults in the country do not have a checking account, according to World Bank Bank Global Findex. Following Wecash's presentation, delegates expressed strong interest in advancing a possible partnership with Wecash to take advantage of opportunities in Egypt's financial market.

E! NEWS EXCLUSIVE: Khloe Kardashian

E! NEWS EXCLUSIVE: Khloe Kardashian "Hasn't Given Up" on Tristan Thompson Yet!

Khloe Kardashian is a forgiving person—to a point.
Two weeks after she gave birth to a baby girl in Ohio, a source tells E! News exclusively that the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star hasn't decided what to do about Tristan Thompson. Days before Khloe went into labor, photos and videos showed the NBA player allegedly cheating on her—with multiple women—for several months. Khloe's family is said to be "furious" with him, but she wonders if she can salvage their relationship—and not just for the sake of their little girl, True Thompson. "She has one foot out the door but is also holding on to the fact that her and Tristan can make it work," the source says. "She hasn't given up on him yet, but also hasn't really been focusing on their relationship. When they see each other, it is all about the baby and parenting together. Khloe has fallen in love with him all over again, watching him be a dad to True, but [she also] knows she needs to really take a step back and make the right decision."
Tristan hasn't been staying at the house, the source says, but he visits often: "Khloe thinks it's great they have been having a bit of space right now, but she is worried about their future. She hasn't figured it out yet." It doesn't help that "everyone close to her thinks she needs to split from Tristan and has told her she can do this on her own," the source adds. But ultimately, her family and friends realize that "it's her life" and "Khloe needs to do what's right for their baby."
To the best of her abilities, Khloe "isn't focusing" on the cheating allegations and "is trying to move forward," the source tells E! News. And yet, Khloe is understandably "quite devastated."
Soon, after True has been cleared to travel, Khloe will return to California. "Khloe has been focused on bonding with her baby, but also really misses her family. She is very understanding that everyone has their own lives and is super busy, but she is starting to get lonely and wants to get back to her home in L.A.," the source says. "Khloe already has everything for True set up in L.A.; it's just a matter of when she is going to make the move that she is still deciding on." Mom Kris Jenner "has been counting the days until she gets back," the source reveals. "The whole family is in a group text and they are so excited every time Khloe shares a photo of True."
Despite everything that's happened with Tristan, everyone is "very happy" for the new mom, the source insists. And once she's in L.A., "Everyone can be together, making new memories."
