New Orleans Saints WIDE RECEIVER- Carlos Robinson

 CARLOS ROBINSON
THE 50 YARD. LINE DREAM
INTERVIEW BY: GENEVA RELF

Geneva: Thanks so much for agreeing to this interview. How are you doing today?

Carlos Robinson: I’m doing fine thanks for having me. I feel honored doing this interview with such a seasoned and professional writer. I have heard great things about you.

Geneva:Thanks, Now you’re a Wide Receiver: if someone is not familiar with football positions. Can you please explain to them a Wide Receivers job?

Carlos Robinson: Well for those who at least watch football, we are the guys on the outside that run down the field and catch the touchdowns. Besides that there are techniques that you have to know, perfect and perform consistently.

Geneva: Now I understand high school is were you found your love for football. What was it about the sport that intrigued you to play?

Carlos Robinson: Well Geneva, I loved it from a young age, and then in high school is actually where I learned how to prepare myself for the game. In high school is where it was affirmed to me that I was as good as any top player in the country and that I would have a future in football. My first actual moment of being intrigued with football was one day after running routes with Walter Church; we were walking back to the car along with my other mentor Jamone Mims. Mims mentioned that I might be able to play division 1 colleges and I just asked “Do ya’ll think I can play D1 ball?” and they both looked at me and was like YEAH of course. From that point forward the hard work I was putting in wasn’t “work” anymore: It became my passion.

Geneva: Football became your outlet, in your opinion what is it about sports that provides that outlet and encouragement to youth?

Carlos Robinson: Well it does so many things for the youth. It helps keep the immune system strong, mental health, it embodies a range of emotions teaching the student athlete would learn to persevere through and succeed. Learning team work is big and develops a work ethic that can be carried on to every aspect of your life.

Geneva: Now many youth are raised in single parent homes. Do you think that sports provide that extra guidance or support they may not receive at home?

Carlos Robinson: Depending on the area and philosophy of the coach. For the student-athlete there is guidance because of the nature of sports. There is also support with the single parent to do more to support the family and with keeping their child/children active as they desire. It is also a means to help break the circle, often times children who participate in sports are less likely to participate in self-destructive activities.

Geneva: Going through the tragedy of a fire and losing everything, how did you find the strength to pursue your dreams of football?

Carlos Robinson: To a major degree, I was already in pursuit of a professional career; I had just transferred from my Junior College with one semester to go. I was looking forward to spring ball, but the fire changed everything. Losing everything brought me to the realization that it’s time to do it “right now.” I’ve always been pretty much spontaneous all my life and taking the risk of moving 800 miles away, a mere 2 days after the fire brought me comfort to a degree. In situations like that, it’s either “do or die” and I thrive in those kinds of situations. For my family, though, it was very hard. We just had a baby two weeks prior and the fire took everything but what we had on. We received assistance from our church, family and a few friends, other than that everything had to be replaced. What’s ironic is that we were already looking for a place and employment in the Atlanta area. We had planned to go down there in 2 weeks and ended up there 4 days later. We stayed in a hotel for about eight days. I started training at XPE Sports that same week. I later got a job working in the evenings at Olive Garden and training during the early mornings.  From there it was a matter of getting the attention of the NFL Scouts.

Geneva: When the New Orleans Saints signed you, what was that feeling or initial thought to come over you?

Carlos Robinson: It was euphoric and let me tell you it is hard to describe. I knew also at this point it is just the beginning, so I didn’t have time really to celebrate. I knew there was more to be done and I had things to prove in order to stay. But when Sean Payton approached me the last day of Rookie camp and said, “We’re going to sign you” I couldn’t even respond in the manner I wanted. I just took off on the field like a Jet.

Geneva: Many athletes are hit hard in the media, why do you think athletes are under so much pressure to be role models?

Carlos Robinson: Well because of how “magnified” the professional sports industry is. As well as, how celebrated it is, this makes being an average person with a great talent unacceptable and much more which really is less is expected. It also writes the check for some to.

Geneva:  When it comes to any sport the pregame prep talk is what really sets the tone. Can you recall any motivational words from a coach before a game?

Carlos Robinson: At my Junior College (GRCC), the head coach Jim Schulte told us before we went out on the field to play the defending national champs: “To dominate is a personal mental state that you as a player determine.” After this speech we took the defending champions down by a margin of 13-6. He huddled us together and with his speaker box voice hollered at the top of his lungs and looked us all in the eyes and said, “Now that’s how you dominate.”

Geneva: What advice would you give an athlete who is headed to the pros or considering the pro's?

Carlos Robinson: I would tell them that, PREPRATION IS THE KEY. If you’re prepared to the best of your abilities, you won’t have to worry about who’s the best because you will be.

Geneva: What is the most misunderstood perception of athletes?

Carlos Robinson: That we are one dimensional. Many of us are multi-talented men with large amounts of substance. I personally have many talents such as Arts, Music, Natural Medicine, and Consciousness. I was also recently accepted into Law School. So you have to be careful with some of those stereotypes.

Geneva: What are your predictions for this upcoming football season?

Carlos Robinson: Well, well let me see. It’s a little early but I think the New Orleans Saints and New York Jets may find there way to Dallas.

Geneva: You also model and act when did you discover you wanted to act and model?

Carlos Robinson: Well I began modeling in high school. My first TV Modeling Show appearance was the Freddy Jackson Show broadcast out of Ann Arbor Michigan. I remember it like it was yesterday. I was super nervous, but as soon as the camera began rolling, I loosened up. Acting is something I found unique because of the art of expressions. I find it amazing how an individual can go into another character.

Geneva: What is the next level for Carlos Robinson?

Carlos Robinson: I have a lot of opportunity but playing in the NFL is on the front burner for now. What ever comes into fruition, I will excel in that as well. No matter the direction or occupation! So I’m excited and anxious about the future.

Geneva: Thanks so much for taking this time out, Is there anything you would like to add before we go. Also don't forget to tell the fans where to find you!

Carlos Robinson: Thank you Geneva for having me and for the fans you can hit me up on twitter @CarlosRobinson or on facebook at
www.facebook.com/carlosrobinson. For booking or media you can contact my publicist arouse@LMEonline.org or @AndiRouse or @LifeMadeEasyPR Also I would to wish everyone a happy holidays to come and blessings to the reading audience.

COVERED BY HIS BLOOD- UPCOMING MOVIE

Geneva- Thanks for taking this time to talk about your upcoming film project.

Tee Platinum- Thanks! It's my pleasure!

Geneva- Covered By His Blood where did the title come from?

Tee- Well it's actually a double meaning which involves real blood. You have to stay tuned to find out!!

Geneva- Now when casting a movie, what is the hardest part?
Tee- For this movie, Faye Childs did the casting. She's a really amazing writer from New Orleans. You can see more about her on the website www.coveredbyhisblood.com  ....But from the outside looking in, I would say that the hardest part of casting for a script is three things. First and foremost, finding people who are believable actors who can bring the character to life.  Secondly, finding someone who is dedicated and loyal.  You want someone who is passionate about their craft and a person who isn't going to disappear unexpectedly or not show up the day of the shoot.  And lastly, its important to find actors with a good personality.  You want some one who is a people person who is easy to get along with because you will be on the set with this person normally for 8-12 hour shoots.  You don't someone coming with a list of demands, a diva attitude or some one who is unreasonable.  That can really sabotage your project.

Geneva- I guess my first question should have been, how did this film come about?

Tee- I initiated the project and brought in the people who I thought were best suited to pull off what I needed done to do my part as an video editor in post production. Alex of Smart Aleck Films was the cinematographer, the best in Atlanta may I add. And like I mentioned before, Faye Childs was the script writer and casting director. It was kind of like after the situation was masterminded, they set up the play for the 3 point shot.

Geneva- Can you tell us about the cast for this film?

Tee- The cast is comprised of 4 or 5 main characters.  Kerry is the main character. She is young and naive in love. (Played by Honey Johnson). She is in love with her new boyfriend Jordan (played by Brian Knight) who she brings home for Christmas dinner to meet her family.  Everybody seems to love him instantly except Kerry's mother (played by Jo Lynn Merriweather) who gets a bad feeling or vibe about Jordan. Then the drama begins! Jordan's sister, Jay (played by Charlie J), pops up to the dinner to pick up her brother. Keep in mind that Kerry never knew Jordan had a sister all of this time because she's the "black sheep of the family". Then Kerry and Jay start hanging out and doing things you wouldn't believe. Then things spiral out of control until Kerry is literally fighting for her life. But to answer your question, the cast did a great job!  They put in a lot of hard work!  Many of them are new faces but I know that we have a few potential superstars on our hands! Your fans can be the judge! www.coveredbyhisblood.com

Geneva- What do you want viewers to get from this film?

Tee- We want the viewers to entertained, enlightened and educated all at the same time! And to keep in mind that everything that glitters isn't gold. And money isn't everything or worth selling your soul over.  It's good to have nice things, but you shouldn't lose who you are in trying to obtain them.

Geneva- Well thanks so much for taking this time! Is there anything you would like to add before we go?

Tee- Just check out the trailer on this blog and check out more about the film on www.coveredbyhisblood.com To see my demo reel or to get more information about me, go to www.teeplatinum.com  Thanks for having me!!

KIA CALLOWAY - BEHIND THE MUSIC

Kia Calloway
Raising Music Sensation
Interview By: Geneva Relf

Geneva: Kia how are you doing today, thanks for agreeing to this interview!

Kia : Thank you for having me.

Geneva: Now for those who need to be introduced, can you tell them who Kia Calloway is?

Kia: Kia Calloway is definitely a mixture of a bunch of different, wonderful elements. R&B,Pop,Hip-Hop- you name it! I like to think of myself as being a versatile artist.

Geneva: Your hit single "Back Seat" when you first heard this track how did you know this was going to be hit?

Kia: Well when I first heard the track I was on that whole Timberland (Aaliyah) vibe..Certain tracks talk to you automatically and you just flow with it.That song didn't take long as some songs do, and I just had fun with it.Didn't expect it to go as far as it did but I'm grateful [laughs].

Geneva: What upcoming projects can we look forward to from you?

Kia: Right now I'm doing a lot of underground projects so definitely  look out for some unreleased material.I am featured in the 3rd Edition of Platinum Plus magazine, and In the midst of that I'm working with different producer's and writer's for my upcoming project. So yeah ya girl stay's on her grind [laughs].

Geneva: Being a songwriter what is the hardest part about creating a song?

Kia: For me, sometimes I can have a one track mind and some of my songs seems to be about the same thing. You know the whole heartbreak, you cheated, you did this, you did that type of thing. Then sometimes I get writer's block, and so I take a break from it and maybe a few day's later come back to it with a fresh mind.

Geneva: What made you want to pursue music?

Kia: Basically you can tell what your called to do because your not happy doing anything else. I can do music forever and a day, go through the storm, get knocked down, get back up and still love what I do. Music is like therapy for me, and it got me through some rough moments.  I think I wrote some of my best songs when I was going through the hard times.

Geneva: You have been in the industry for years, what is the biggest lesson you have had to learn?

Kia: I have learned that A entertainer has to wear many hats. You just don't go up on stage and that's it. This music game is a Business..That's why it's called Music Business and you gotta know it. You gotta know who's controlling it, because If you allow every aspects of your life to be controlled by someone else, you can loose yourself, your identity very quickly and that's not a good feeling.

Geneva: "Fed Up" was another hot track, what makes your music so relate-able to your audience?

Kia: I feel that a lot of women in some point in life will go through heartbreak and I want to address that. Some women believe that they have to deal with the pain, hurt, abuse and so on but they don't. You have choices. You either deal with it or you don't.  It's just that simple. People are going to do what you allow them to do and women you are better then that...Stop settling for less and know your worth...

Geneva: Who does Kia Calloway inspire to collaborate with in the near future?

Kia: [laughs] I would love to work with a few people. I would have to say R-Kelly, Tank, Usher,Timberland,
Robin Thick and my all time music crush LL Cool J [laughs].

Geneva: What would be the ultimate tour for Kia Calloway and who would be featured on the tour?

Kia: R-Kelly because we bring the same thing to the table. The Grown & Sexy Tour...yeah!

Geneva: If you could describe yourself in one phrase what would it be?

Kia: Kia Calloway is a Diamond in the Rough!

Geneva: What separates Kia Calloway from other artist out there?

Kia: What makes me different then a lot of artist is my story behind my music. I mean you can sing all day but people remember stories, the meaning, the drive, the humbleness, and the hard work. They can see a beautiful face and a voice any day but if she doesn't have a purpose, then it's useless. See if you have a purpose
then it comes out in your voice and in your lyrics like all those old songs that will  be here for centuries. Those are the heartfelt songs, and that's why people still singing those same song's today.

Geneva: What was that defining moment that you felt validated in your music career? Or are you still waiting on that moment?

Kia: I think when I receive those Grammy awards is when I will sit back and say "This is my moment"!

Geneva: Can you describe that feeling you get when your on stage?

Kia: A rush of energy and I'm very aggressive on stage[laughs]. It's almost like your someone else. It's funny to watch sometimes because when I'm off stage I'm normally not like that. I'm reserved and kinda quiet but when I hit that stage...The diva is out.[laughs]

Geneva: What are the biggest mistakes an artist can make in this industry?

Kia: Signing their life away and then stuck in a life long contract. That's why I said This Music Business is not a game. There are people that could care two cents about you and just wanna make money for themselves. You need an attorney to look over any contract you have. Also be true to who you are. Don't be who everybody else want you to be because when the smoke clears and everybody is gone, you gotta love who you are.

Geneva: Now if you could give sound advice to upcoming artists what would it be?

Kia: You gotta work for it and I mean work hard because it ain't easy. Even when you signed you still gotta grind. These day's labels want to know if you ready to go when you walk in the door. It's not all about the glitz and glamor..Know your business. It's easy to get a deal but it ain't easy to keep it. Yes have fun with it because this is what you do and it should be 2nd nature, but while you having fun with it don't loose yourself for the fame.Stay true to who you really are and Put God first in everything you do.You will have a million and one closed doors but you will also have a million and one open doors so never take no for a answer and don't give up.

Geneva: So what is the next level for Kia Calloway?

Kia: I definitely plan to write for different artist and I've been working on implementing new ideas for my live shows so that's exciting. The best thing I can say is "Expect the unexpected from Kia Calloway".

Geneva: Thanks again so much for this interview, and is there anything you would like to say to your fans before we go? Also don't forget to tell the people where to find you and your music!

Kia: Thank you for having me and you can find me at www.kiacallowaymusic.com ... www.twitter.com/kiacalloway1.. or for booking or questions you can contact me at kiacallowaybookings@yahoo.com

AFTER MIDNIGHT PRODUCTIONS

After Midnight Productions Interview
Interview By: Geneva Relf

Geneva: Thanks so much for your time, and agreeing to this interview?
After Midnight Productions: Not a problem, Thanks for the interview.
Geneva: Now After Midnight Productions was established in 2003 correct? Who are the founders?
AMP: Yes, Sean Fields and Myself (Damon Humphrey)
Geneva: When it comes to artist what does AMP look for?
AMP: Artist with unique sound, the hunger to get a project done, and one who is self motivated, one who is not looking for a hand out,but willing to put in work.

Geneva: What is the biggest mistake upcoming artist make when it comes to a label?
AMP: In my opinion, a lot of upcoming artist feel they need to say how “hot” they are. They brag too much on themselves. They need to let their music speak if it’s that “hot”.
Geneva: What is the proper way for an artist to get discovered or even heard by a record label?
AMP: In my opinion, a lot of artists utilize youtube, myspace (despite people saying its dead), especially twitter, because you can reach out to far more people. Also entering talent shows, and other show type venues.
Geneva: Being a CEO for AMP can you take us through a typical day for you?
AMP: A typical day right now, consists of getting up at 6 every morning, checking my email,  chat with my business partner, handle the school thing also, and then later on in the afternoon/evening, network, make music, return phone calls, and consistently update my website and when its possible, studio sessions.
Geneva: When you hear a beat what makes it a hit for you?
AMP: It has to move me.
Geneva: When it comes to music and song selection what's the hardest part about picking the right song?
AMP: Well you never know what song the audience will like, you might decide to pick “a” and they completely hate it.
Geneva: I don't know if you can go into great detail, but can you tell us about upcoming projects?
AMP: As of right now, AMP is featured on an R&B Soul singers album from MD, by the name of Ameerah The Songstress, the album is called “How I feel” which is on I tunes , and I am pushing my own production album on I tunes called “After Midnight Productions presents The Works”, which features artists from CA all the way to NY. I put this album together with a team of different producers.
Geneva: What makes AMP different from other labels?
AMP: We actually care about the artist...even though what the artist presents is a product, and let's face it a product has to be put on the market in order to succeed. The person themselves is not a product and shouldn’t be treated as one or as if a number on a roster, but this artist has actual feelings and idea's and concepts themselves about where their career is going, and that's what we try to convey to them.

Geneva: When it comes to artist trying to break into the industry what's the best advice you can give them?
AMP: Be yourself, don’t try and copy what’s already out there. Make a name for yourself and they will be asking about you, they will be trying to get in contact with you.
Geneva: What's the hardest part about breaking an artist into mainstream?
AMP: Because the industry nowadays is so cookie cutter..everybody looks the same and sounds the same..the industry as a abundance of the "Britney spears”, the boy-bands,the minute rapper’s, so that when you do come with something different you get denied!!..Because you don’t fit into that mold, which never made any since to me because I thought the mainstream was looking for something different. I guess not. But that's just my opinion...lol

Geneva: After Midnight Productions presents "The Works" was released in April of 2010 what was the inspiration behind this project?
AMP: Well, I had older material that I wanted to release on a new project and also I have dealt with some artists lately who were hungry and wanted to contribute to this album. And not only that, it features nothing but AMP produced material with the assistance of other producers I’ve worked with over the years. And the big thing, it is sample free.
Geneva: When it comes to an album, mixtape, or even a single can you take us through the steps it takes?
AMP: well first with me it all starts with the music, without music your not going to have a mixtape or a single,or a album,so first comes the music.....making sure I got something hot!!..then comes the artist..whether it be contacting artist I've used before or just scouting out new talent...then comes the writing process, studio time, marketing plan and last but not least promotions.

Geneva: What's the best way for an artist to get music heard by an A&R?
AMP: Get yourself a manager...someone who's going to work for you, make the calls, hit the pavement, network, actually nowadays A&R people hit the pavement as well looking, so you never know who's going to see you...and that’s why you need a good manager in your corner someone who's going to set up the venues so a artist can be seen.

Geneva: What was the defining moment for AMP? When did you realize that the label was a hit?
AMP: I’ll give you 2...one was having one of our songs actually hit mainstream and get airplay and the other was working with Ameerah the Songstress who in her own right has done some fantastic things from singing lead vocals for legendary Chaka Khan, to touring all over the country..Oh shout out to Kimmy K, DJ ABBICO...."It A’int My Fault” is the song receiving airplay.

Geneva: Now AMP is located in San Francisco, CA what's the benefit to being located in California?
AMP: Well there have always been 2 locations; music Mecca’s if you will....New York and California...these places are the heart of the music industry.

Geneva: What's the most complicated part about being a producer?
AMP: Going through the heap of crap to find those “right” connects and those “right” artists, being disrespected by people who never even been in a studio, or even worked remotely with any artists, the competition to stand out because there are a lot producers out there. So it’s trying to find that “brand new” sound to stand out.
Geneva: What is the most rewarding part about being a producer?
AMP: The reaction that I’ve gotten when people hear our production for the first time, not knowing who the artist is or who I am but really enjoying something fresh and new.

Geneva: Based off your experiences and expertise in the business what's the biggest key artist need to be successful in the industry?
AMP: There are successful jokes in the industry, and they make a whole lot of money, so it’s hard for me to answer that question right now. LOL
Geneva: Being a CEO of AMP what's the biggest lessons you have had to learn?
AMP: Patience and Persistence is key in this business. You win some, you lose some, but you got to keep pushing forward, because you never know who is watching you.
Geneva: Who do you inspire to collaborate with?
AMP: Pretty much anyone who has a strong drive and are about their business and has the same goal in mind.
Geneva: In one phrase or word can you describe AMP?
AMP: Unique
Geneva: So what can we look forward to from the artist on you label?
AMP: I don’t have any artists on my label per se, but you best believe you will continue to hear new collaborations from After Midnight Productions
Geneva: Thanks again for agreeing to this interview. Is there anything you would like to say before we go? Also don't forget to tell the people where to find you?
AMP: Thanks again for considering After Midnight Productions for this interview. Look out for future collaborations and new projects that are being situated now. You can find more information about After Midnight Productions @
www.aftermidnightproductions.biz , follow me on twitter @amp_studios and also you can contact me for business opportunities @ ampstudios415@aol.com

Madison S. Kelly

The Interview of a True Business Woman's Empire

Geneva: Thanks for agreeing to this interview. How are you doing today?

Madison S. Kelly (Don Diva): Well, thanks for being so patient with me. I am finally settling down from Play rehearsals and deadlines for magazines. The past few months have been filled with The Flipside play rehearsals, New Column debut " Pussy Cat Tales" in Craze magazine , Don Diva magazine deadlines and just completed new food column in Six Twelve Magazine with my daughter called " Diva Delights Corner". Its an honor to have this interview with you.

Geneva: Now how did you get into modeling?

Madison S. Kelly (Don Diva): Modeling started off as training classes all summer long at John Casablancas in Atlanta, GA when I was 14 years old. It was something that my Mom pushed me into, cause I was one of them teenagers that hated anything about dressing up. After I was around 18, I saw it as a way to get noticed in the entertainment industry. Now Modeling has become an extra income to pursue my other dreams.

Geneva: Now your a woman of many talents. What advice would you give young women trying to reach your level of success?

Madison S. Kelly (Don Diva): My advice for young ladies trying to reach any level of success is to put God first, be true to yourself and never let anyone disrespect you. Regardless of how much power one seems to have,YOU still deserve respect. And set small Goals that put you on the path to your main target.

Geneva: Can you take us through the demands for a TV host?

Madison S. Kelly (Don Diva): My experience as a New TV Host working on "Night Life Reality TV" was very full of lessons. Working with a great Director like Cathy Durant, gave me the chance to learn the ins and outs of the business. I learned how to carry myself more like an on air personality, the proper interview questions to pull the attention of my TV audience and how to interest my fans.

Geneva: What do you think is the biggest mistake upcoming talents makes?

Madison s. Kelly (Don Diva): Mistakes that I have seen and also some that I am guilty of is bringing my personal feelings, friends and family into my career. Sometimes its best to learn 1st yourself and then pull people aboard to help them reach their goals.

Geneva: Your the Editor At Large, for Don Diva magazine. Can you tell us about Don Diva the magazine?

Madison S. Kelly (Don Diva): Everyone knows that Don Diva Magazine is "The Original Street Bible" and we bring real life stories about real life issues in these streets and society. The whole team at Don Diva pride ourselves in bringing our Readers priceless knowledge and being an outlet for our Community and the world for that matter.
Geneva: For aspiring magazine writers what are they key elements they need to impress an editor like yourself?

Madison S. Kelly (Don Diva): What impresses me about new magazine writers is that PASSION to bring a GOOD story. A good story comes from researching the topic and just keeping it real with your readers. Readers want to learn something and feel what you are talking about. So just putting words on a piece of paper is never enough.

Geneva: When did you realize you made it in this industry?

Madison S. Kelly (Don Diva): I can not say that I have made it in this industry yet. I am still learning and building to reach my final goals. My foundation is finished ,so now I am putting all my blocks together to start on my finishing touches.

Geneva:  Out of everyone you have worked with.Who were you most surprised to work with?

Madison S. Kelly (Don Diva): I have to say never in my wildest dreams did I think I would ever meet Kadar Masenburg or better yet have the pleasure of working on his team for the 2010 Soul Train Music Awards in Atlanta, Ga. So I am with him and the whole Kadar Entertainment team planning the Ultimate Grown and VERY Sexy Award Show coming up November 10, 2010 in Atlanta, Ga.

Geneva: If you could sum up yourself in one phrase what would it be and why?

Madison S. Kelly (Don Diva) : My one phrase would be "I Conquer by Continuing." Because I was on probation for 10 years and in & out of Jail for probation violations, but never gave up on my Dreams. Been full speed ahead since I completed my Probation terms and paid fines off. Now I am Probation free finally and no limitations.

Geneva: How do you relax after a busy day of yours?

Madison S. Kelly (Don Diva): I relax by cooking. At first it was a means of saving money, cause due to probation fines and very little income coming in. It was the only way of keeping my two children healthy with home cooked low cost meals, rather than keeping them full off Fast Food. Now I have designed my own Dessert Line and do Crafts/ Catering services all over Atlanta, Ga for events, music videos, Film sets and special occasions.

Geneva: What is the next level for you?

Madison S. Kelly (Don Diva): My next level right now is perfecting my Acting career and getting my 1st screenplay off the ground "Bosses Wear Stilettos". I am also working on my own Booking & Talent Agency and a Radio show.

Geneva: Can you take us through a typical day for you?

Madison S. Kelly (Don Diva): My typical day is: Waking up and popping my Laptop open to check my Twitter, Facebook and six email accounts. Then preparing breakfast with my family, a lite workout and then my daily prayers to keep my head level. After that my afternoon is spent with phone calls, sending emails out, writing ideas down, working on projects, baking cupcake orders as they come in and meetings. Now my evenings are busy with Acting classes, Voice lessons, Cooking dinner and then some nights Social activities.

Geneva: Who do you want to work with next? Who would you like to interview or host a party for?

Madison S. Kelly (Don Diva):I would love to gain a role on one of Tyler Perry's upcoming Plays and tour the country with him or be a guest cook on Paula Deans show. Interviewing my ideal Oprah would be a dream come true. And hosting a Diva day party with the whole Cast of Girlfriends and Tasha Mack from The Game would be a banging event for me.

Geneva: With all the changes in the industry, do you feel the door is opening more for women to be successful?

Madison S. Kelly (Don Diva): I feel that so many strong women are demanding that door open for us and we are PUSHING our way through. Now men are taking notice to us and seeing that our strength in numbers is POWERFUL. Men now are taking several Women as Partners and building successful empires.

Geneva: Thanks again for you agreeing to this interview! Is there anything you would like to say before you go. Also don't forget to tell us where to find you!

Madison S. Kelly (Don Diva): In closing, I would like to thank you Geneva, for allowing me to have this interview to reach out to your readers and tell them to Dream Big and never Give Up. You do or be whatever your heart desires. No Limits!

Much love to everyone,
Madison Shannon Kelly

Jeb Bush

Geneva: Greetings how are you doing today?

Jeb Bush: I AM DOING FINE, EXCITED I JUST DROPPED MY NEW MIXTAPE TITLED "DA FREESTYLE FILES" MAY 31ST BUT WE WILL GET INTO THAT MORE IN THE INTERVIEW BUT OTHERWISE I'M GOOD.

Geneva: For those who may not know you, can you please tell them why they should?

Jeb Bush: WELL YOU SHOULD KNOW ME BECAUSE OF MY STAGE NAME IF YOU LIVE IN OR ARE FROM FLORIDA BUT I AM THE NEW GENERATION OF HIP HOP.

Geneva: Now Jeb Bush is your stage name how did that name come about?

Jeb Bush: WELL IT ORIGINATED FROM A RAP LINE I SAID IN 2007 "I'M FROM A STATE WHERE THE CRACK GET PUSHED/SO FUCK A RAP NAME START CALLING ME JEB BUSH." AND THUS AFTER THAT I CHANGED MY STAGE NAME FROM DA FRANCHIZE TO JEB BUSH .

Geneva: At the age of 13 rapping was just a hobby, what was the turning point for you? What made want to pursue music as a career?

Jeb Bush:  WELL AFTER BATTLING PEOPLE AND JUST WRITING MUSIC IT WAS PLENTY OF LOCAL LABELS, PRODUCERS, ETC WHO WANTED TO SIGN ME OR WORK WITH ME. BUT I GOT OFFERED A RECORD DEAL WITH RAW CUT RECORDS IN DETRIOT MICHIGAN. AND THAT REALLY GAVE ME THE CONFIDENCE TO SAY YEA I WANT TO DO MUSIC FOR REAL.

Geneva: You were with Raw Cut Records, and you decided not to renew your contract. What was your plan after that meaning what did Jeb Bush want?

Jeb Bush: WELL WE TALKED ABOUT IT FOR A FEW MONTHS THE MONEY WAS GOOD AS WELL BUT I WANTED TO TAKE A BREAK HONESTLY. IT WAS SO MUCH ABOUT THE MUSIC INDUSTRY I KNEW 3 YEARS LATER THEN I KNEW WHEN I FIRST STARTED YA KNOW GOOD & BAD. AND I JUST FOUND OUT THAT I'M NOT A INDUSTRY TYPE OF GUY I'M NOT IN THAT CROWD I WILL NEVER GO COMMERCIAL LIKE THAT.

Geneva: Now you have a mixtape your working on can you tell us about it?

Jeb Bush: WELL I'M ACTUALLY WORKING ON 3 MIXTAPES IN 3 MONTHS (MAY JUNE & JULY) AND 1 I JUST RELEASED MAY 31ST IS TITLED "DA FREESTYLE FILES" HOSTED BY DJ KID GARIN WHICH FEATURES MY STREET SINGLE "IM A TRAPPA" WHICH HAS GOTTEN A LOT OF BUZZ IN THE STREETS, THE CLUB, AND INTERNET/COLLEGE/MAINSTREAM RADIO.  I HAD TO PUSH MY SINGLE BACK A MONTH LOL SO I'M REALLY EXCITED ABOUT THAT BECAUSE AFTER TAKING A 2 YR BREAK FROM 08 TO 10 I NEEDED THIS COMEBACK BUT JUST WORKING ON THE NEXT 2 MIXTAPES I'M HYPE.

Geneva: All Magnum No Lifestyle "The Pretape" how did this come about?

Jeb Bush: WELL BASICALLY THAT'S A SAMPLE I THREW TOGETHER IN ABOUT A WEEK MOST OF IT IS NO PEN FREESTYLES, IT WAS JUST TIME TO MAKE A COMEBACK FROM MY BREAK AND JUST GIVE THE STREETS A TASTE OF ME BECAUSE PEOPLE KNOW I RAP BUT THEY JUST NEEDED PROOF OF THAT BECAUSE I'M NOT A CAREER ARTIST BUT I HAD FUN I REALLY ENJOYED THAT PROJECT.

Geneva: What can people expect from you, what do you bring to the music game no other artist offers?

Jeb Bush: HONESTLY I BRING REALNESS,LYRICS, AND SWAGGA YA KNOW THAT KIND OF STUFF IS IMPORTANT IN HIP HOP. LIKE I'M FROM FORT MYERS THAT'S WHERE PLIES & FRANK LINI ARE FROM SO A LOT OF ARTIST IN THE CITY COPY THEM. AND TALK ABOUT HOW REAL THEY ARE, THE GUNS THEY SHOOT, THE DOPE THEY SELL WHEN IT'S JUST UNTRUE LIKE I'M REAL INSIDE AND OUT THE BOOTH I DON'T HAVE TO LIE TO GAIN FANS IT'S DONE WITH MY MUSIC.

Geneva:  What advice would give based off your experience, what would you tell artist that many others wouldn't advices them on?

Jeb Bush:  MUSIC IS A BUSINESS LEARN THE BUSINESS WHEN I WAS SIGNED I LEARNED THE BUSINESS AND THAT HELPED ME IN THE LONG RUN WHEN I MADE MY ENTERTAINMENT COMPANY WITH MY BROTHER & FRIEND BUT ALSO IT'S OK TO FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS BUT YOU HAVE TO WALK IN REALITY.

Geneva:  Who do you inspire to work with in the future?

Jeb Bush: I THINK I WANT TO WORK WITH MOSTLY PRODUCERS LIKE SWIZZ BEATZ, MANNIE FRESH, DJ TOOMP, YEA I'M BIG ON PRODUCTION IF A ARTIST HAS GOOD PRODUCTION THEN THAT MAKES IS JOB EASIER.

Geneva: When it comes to music what direction do you think it's headed?

Jeb Bush: WHEREVER THE STREETS PUT ME, IF I GET SIGNED I GET SIGNED IF NOT I'M STILL DOING MUSIC BECAUSE I TELL PEOPLE ALL THE TIME I'M NOT TRYING TO BE FAMOUS OR ANYTHING I CAN GO STREET PLATINUM WITHOUT A RECORD BEING SOLD IN STORE YA KNOW THAT'S WHAT IT'S ABOUT FOR ME THE STREETS, THE FANS, AND THE MUSIC.

Geneva: What do you think makes a great artist, what elements does an artist need to have longevity?

Jeb Bush: LYRICS, CREATIVITY, CONSISTENCY AND REINVENTION LOOK AT GUYS LIKE LL COOL J, P DIDDY, JAY-Z, LIL WAYNE, T.I., THOSE GUYS ARE ALWAYS USING THOSE ELEMENTS TO BECOME SUCCESSFUL AND IT WORKS LOL.

Geneva:  Where do you see yourself in say ten years from now?

Jeb Bush: LETS SEE, DOING SOMETHING IN MUSIC, I WANT TO STEP INTO MGMT I THINK, HAVING A CLOTHING LINE, I ALSO ACT SO I WANT TO WRITE AND STAR IN SOME MOVES, YA KNOW I HAVE A BUNCH OF VENTURES I WOULD LIKE TO DO BUT MUSIC IS MY PASSION SO THAT'S THE END OF THE ROAD IT'S WHAT I WILL LEAVE WITH.

Geneva: What does Jeb do to relax after a long day in the studio?

Jeb Bush: LONG DAY? MORE LIKE LONG WEEK WITH THESE PROJECTS, COLLBO'S, ETC ETC I'M IN THE STUDIO ABOUT 3 TO 4 TIMES A WEEK BUT I LOVE MOVIES I'M A BIG MOVIE FREAK, SO JUST HOME WATCHING MOVIES, OR WRITING MUSIC AND EATING OMG I LOVE TO EAT LOL SO I LIKE GOING OUT TO EAT.

Geneva: When it comes to music is there any limits?

Jeb Bush: NO I DON'T THINK SO I'M VERY OPEN TO DIFF CONCEPTS AND THINGS LIKE THAT.

Geneva: If there was one thing you could change about the industry what would it be and why?

Jeb Bush: NO I WOULDN'T IT IS WHAT IT IS AND SOME PEOPLE GET IN IT BECAUSE OF CERTAIN THINGS. WHATEVER IT MAY BE BUT IT COMES WITH THE TERRITORY PRETTY MUCH SO I JUST ACCEPT THE GOOD WITH THE BAD.

Geneva: If you could collaborate with any artist, producer from the past or present who would it be and why?

Jeb Bush: I THINK MUSIC WISE, I WOULD LIKE TO WORK WITH LL COOL J, LIL WAYNE, YOUNG JEEZY, WEEBIE, TRICK DADDY. I'M BIG ON SOUTHERN ARTIST AND THEIR SOUND YOU DON'T HAVE TO SELL 1 MILLION RECORDS FOR THE STREETS TO LIKE YOU. AS A ARTIST IT'S ALOT OF PEOPLE I RESPECT FOR NOT SELLING OUT OR GOING COMMERCIAL AND THOSE ARE GUYS I WANT TO WORK WITH.

Geneva: As an artist what do you want your fans to understand about you?

Jeb Bush: I AM SO MISUNDERSTOOD SO YOU CAN'T UNDERSTAND LOL ESPECIALLY WITH MY FEMALE FANS BECAUSE I INTERACT WITH ALOT OF MY FANS VIA MYSPACE, FACEBOOK, TWITTER, AND EVEN TEXT MESSAGING. IT'S CRAZY BUT I HOPE WHEN THEY HEAR MY MUSIC THEY HEAR A ORIGINAL SOUND AND NOT SOME CLONED ARTIST YA KNOW. UNDERSTAND THAT I AM MY OWN PERSON AS ARTIST I'M NOT DRAKE, LIL WAYNE, JAY Z ETC ETC.

Geneva: If you could describe yourself in one word or phrase what would it be and why?

Jeb Bush: *ALL MAGNUM NO LIFESTYLES* I KNOW IT'S NOT 1 WORD BUT THAT'S MY CATCH PHRASE I USE ON MY RECORDS, ONLINE, WHEN I TALK, ETC IT'S JUST MEANS LIKE I'M MAJOR/BIG HENCE MAGNUM AND Y'ALL MINOR/SMALL HENCE LIFESTYLES LOL SO YEA I HAVE SO MANY THINGS I MAKE UP IT'S CRAZY LOL!

Geneva: What do you think the biggest mistake upcoming artist make in the industry?

Jeb Bush: NOT KNOWING THE BUSINESS SIDE OF IT, THE BUSINESS IS TO SELL RECORDS, YOU CAN RAP LIKE JAY- Z, LIL WAYNE, AND DRAKE COMBINED WHO CARES, SPECIALLY IF YOU CAN'T SELL RECORDS OR MAKE A HIT RECORDS A LOT OF UPCOMING ARTIST AREN'T MAKING GOOD MUSIC THAT'S WHY THE STREETS DON'T FUCK WITH NEW ARTIST WHO HAVE MAJOR DEALS. IT'S NOT THAT THEIR NEW IT'S JUST NOT HOT INDIE ARTIST ARE KILLING MAJOR ARTIST HANDS DOWN!

Geneva: When it comes to dating is it easier inside or outside the industry?

Jeb Bush: INSIDE!!! I ALWAYS TELL PEOPLE I NEED TO DATE A RADIO HOST, A MODEL, OR A VIDEO VIXEN ETC ETC BECAUSE THEY UNDERSTAND THE PASSION AND ALOT OF PEOPLE REALLY DON'T, MORE SO THE FEMALE THEN MALES BUT IT'S HARD DATING OUTSIDE BECAUSE THEY THINK YOU GOT GROUPIES, YOU NOT GONNA GET SIGNED, ETC ETC SO YEAH IT'S HARD I BE ABOUT IT GIVE UP ON LOVE I SWEAR I TELL PEOPLE ALL THE TIME THAT I'M A HOPELESS ROMANTIC.

Geneva: when it comes to music what legacy do you want to leave behind?

Jeb Bush: I DON'T KNOW BECAUSE LIKE 2 PAC AND BIGGIE LEFT THE BEST LEGACY OF MUSIC EVER BUT FOR MY GENERATION I RATHER BE IN THE BACKGROUND I'M NOT A IN FOREFRONT EVEN AS A LOCAL ARTIST I'M THE UNDERDOG AND UNDERRATED SO I GUESS I WANT TO KEEP THAT TITLE BECAUSE IT FITS ME SO WELL

Geneva; Thanks again so much for this time, please let the readers know where to find you! Also is there anything you would like to add before we go?
