D.C. Don Juan has been signed to Battery/Jive Records (Home of Mickey Factz, Chalie Boy, & Diamond of Crime Mob) for a year now, but he still has much more that he wants to prove. His debut single, "Lookie Looky", received spins on radio stations across the country, and video looks on MTV Jams and BET's The Deal. Even YouTube sensations The Twerk Team went viral with a video of them twerking it to "Lookie Looky." And let's not forget landing on XXLMag.com, HipHopDX.com, DJ Green Lantern's Invasion Radio and features in Sister 2 Sister and Hip-Hop Weekly magazines. With the summer heating up, D.C. Don Juan is ready to show the world the many faces to his music.
D.C. Don Juan's free street album, Juanted (Destroy & Rebuild), is set to drop this August. The first single is "Hands Up", produced by The Best Kept Secret (Wale's "Pretty Girls"). The track combines a sample made famous from a Dr. Dre single, with the energy of a hardcore New York street banger. Seeing as though D.C. Don Juan has spent half of his life in The Bronx, NY and the other half in Capitol Heights, MD, he definitely pours that diverse influence all over the track.
