E! NEWS EXCLUSIVE: Inside Floyd Mayweather's Extravagant Birthday Party Featuring Bengal Tigers and Justin Bieber

 E! NEWS  http://eonline.com/news/832011/inside-floyd-mayweather-s-extravagant-birthday-party-featuring-bengal-tigers-and-justin-bieber

That was one knockout of a party.

In celebration of his 40th birthday, world champion boxer Floyd Mayweather threw himself a bash as big as his career Saturdaynight in Los Angeles.

Located in a ballroom downtown, the athlete welcomed celebrity guests like Bobby Brown, Justin Bieber and Mariah Carey into a star-studded room decorated with disco balls and crystal chandeliers. Dressed to impress, Mayweather donned a black sequin blazer with black pants, a black shirt and dark aviators.

"He was smiling and enjoying all the attention," a source told E! News.

There was no denying who the party was for as Mayweather's face was everywhere. At the entrance to the party, guests were greeted by a money tree covered with hanging fake $100 bills with his face on them while larger portraits of the birthday boy hung on the walls.

The larger-than-life boxer had an equally packed guest list. While the room was meant to only accommodate 300 people, upwards of 1,300 attendees crowded into the ballroom. In addition to an open bar, guests enjoyed hamburger sliders and mini BBQ chicken sandwiches.

As for decor, the boxer had cages with white Bengal tigers inside the room. The guest of honor had his own staged area in the middle of the space complete with a golden throne and surrounded by security guards, though he was rarely seated.

Instead, the 40-year-old enjoyed performances from his famous friends, including the former New Edition singer, K-Ci and JoJo, Tyrese and Doug E. Fresh. Fresh performed a medley of hits he called "the soundtrack to Floyd's life," including "December" by Earth, Wind and Fire and "Just a Friend" by Biz Markie.

Bieber also took the stage to entertain the crowd with his top songs, "Where Are Ü Now" and "What Do You Mean?"

"I love this guy...I look up to him," he said in front of the audience. "Give it up for Floyd Mayweather, the champ."

Soon, it was time to cut the cake. Mariah Carey flew in from Dubai to attend the party and serenade the athlete with "Happy Birthday." The Grammy winner arrived with beau Bryan Tanaka and sported a crystal-embellished silver gown with a plunging neckline. "She looked great and seemed very relaxed," the source added.

"Would only fly 18 hours for your #birthday," Carey wrote on Instagram.

Mayweather marked the occasion with a six layer cake covered with pictures of him throughout his life. The creation was from Bree's Cakes, a favorite of stars like Chrissy Teigen and Khloe Kardashian.

"The cake took about 72 hours to make. It had to be transported in two pieces because it was too tall to fit in my SUV," Bree Miller of Bree's Cakes told E! News. "It had over 12 feet of swarovski crystals on it... and it was loaded with over a hundred personal photos ranging from childhood to now showcasing the 40 years of Floyd."

Cheers to 40 more—and then some!

Lin-Manuel Miranda has quite the talented fan base this Oscars Sunday.

As the A-list performer celebrates his nomination for Best Original Song at the 89th Annual Academy Awards, the Hamilton star is getting support from a few familiar faces.

While appearing on Live From the Red Carpet outside the Dolby Theatre, Ryan Seacrest had a special surprise for the Oscar nominee.

Hey Lin-Manuel, your friends have a message that may be music to your ears.

In the clip, several Hamilton stars join Jordan Fisher and Taran Killam for a mashup that immediately brought an emotional reaction from Lin-Manuel and his mom.

"I hate you for making me cry before the Oscars have even started," he shared with E! News. "That was amazing. Thank you. Thank you for that. That's incredible."

It's going to be a big night for the Hollywood star who is nominated for his song "How Far I'll Go" featured in Disney's Moana. Songs featured in La La Land, Trolls and Jim: The James Foley Story are also nominated in the buzz worthy category.

Win or lose, Lin-Manuel recently shared the joy about simply being nominated at the Oscars.

"It's so crazy, dude! I'm an Academy Awards dork. I'd cry at the Chuck Workman montages. I'd wait for them to shout out to Bill Conti when he was conducting," he previously told Billboard. "I'd memorize Billy Crystal's monologues that he used to write with Marc Shaiman, who I'm working on with Mary Poppins Returns right now, so to get to go to that party is really a great thrill."

Should he win, Lin-Manuel will become the youngest member of the EGOT Club, a group who have earned an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony.

May the best song win!

E! NEWS EXCLUSIVE: Ryan Murphy Breaks Silence

E! NEWS EXCLUSIVE: Ryan Murphy Breaks Silence on Naya Rivera and Lea Michele Rumors: The Guys Feuded, Too

See more of what Murphy has to say about Feud and Glee in the video above, and on E! News tonight at 7 and 11 pm!
Mark your calendars: Season 10 of FX's Feud may center on Glee stars Lea Michele and Naya Rivera.
At least, that's what co-creator Ryan Murphy joked to E! News while sitting down for an exclusive interview about his latest soon-to-be smash hit anthology series, premiering March 5
In case you missed it, rumors ran rampant in the later seasons of Glee that there was a deep and fiery divide between Lea and Naya—which Naya addressed in her book.
When asked whether he'd ever consider doing a Feud season on the Glee starlets, Murphy talked about the Naya and Lea rumors for the first time, telling E! News:
"I feel like in the case of that show [Glee], that show was just a s--tstorm of difficulty, largely because, what do you do when you're 18 years old or 19 years old and you wake up one day and you're world famous? I think a lot of that was informed by their youth and being involved in a phenomenon. And I know for a fact that they [Lea and Naya] admired each other's work, ‘cause I directed them both in scenes. I don't think I would take on Lea and Naya. I think for a feud to work on this show, it has to have decades of pain behind it. But if they're still feuding at 40, I might consider it. I'll call them up in a couple years."
Then he dropped this little unknown fact: "There were many boys on our show that didn't get along. And you never hear about that. You never hear about that in our culture."
Well, consider this the first printing (#equality?). Murphy didn't name any names, but did mention that the male Glee feuds were plentiful, and also said he also hopes to bring the Glee cast back together someday for some kind of TV reunion.
Feud: Bette and Joan is the most anticipated new series of the year and for good reason. Not only is it the latest anthology gem from Murphy, who most recently brought you The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story and American Horror Story, but it's clearly impeccably cast with Susan Sarandon and Jessica Lange, and is surprisingly relevant, even five decades later. The eight-episode miniseries digs deep into the bias against women in Hollywood, particularly over the age of 40, and why the press and public seem so incessantly fascinated by two women tearing each other apart.
"We're talking about very modern themes looking back at a historic event," Murphy explains. "We kind of did that with [The People v.] O.J. [Simpson]. I was never really interested in O.J. I was never really interested in the murder. I was interested in sexism and racism with Marcia[Clark] and also with O.J. happening two years after the L.A. riots. And Feud is the same thing.Feud is looking back at this fabled, bitchy fight but what you realize is there was literally 50 years of pain going into it."
